If we could rate Cabin 7000ft higher than 10/10, we absolutely would! This place is an experience in itself. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed, and the level of care and service was outstanding. The location is simply breathtaking. Perched above Sri Lanka’s highest village, the views stretch endlessly over rolling farmland, where highland vegetables grow in neat rows, and behind the cabin lies a dense forest, home to local wildlife. Watching the landscape change with the light was magical. The cabin itself is a dream—spacious, spotless, beautifully designed, and instantly inviting. You arrive, take a deep breath, and feel at home. Everything is well-maintained, and you can tell that a lot of thought has gone into every detail. What really stood out was the hospitality. Not only were we looked after with great care, but even our guide/driver was well accommodated. The owner was always there with a smile, ready to help, even suggesting a beautiful hiking route and making sure we were set up for a great walk. A personal highlight: my partner’s birthday fell during our stay, and to our surprise, she was gifted a beautiful birthday cake—a gesture that truly made the day extra special. We also dined at the cabin, and it was one of the best meals we had in Sri Lanka. The owner and his wife clearly have a passion for good food, and it was a pleasure to taste it. Communication was seamless from the start, with quick and easy WhatsApp contact, making everything effortless. Cabin 7000ft is more than just a stay—it’s a special place that lingers in your memory long after you leave. Highly, highly recommended!

My wife and I adored the tranquility of the grounds, the attentiveness of the service from Mr Sanjeena, Arosha and Chaminda and the hearty breakfasts and dinners prepared by Chef Roshan. All in all, a memorable experience with beautiful views, delicious food and comfortable rooms.

The hotel has some maisonett villas, with living room, kitchen and toilet downstairs, and two double beds and a big bath upstairs. It looks like on Fotos. It was the best room we stayed in Sri Lanka and worth the money. Super comfortable beds, nice interior and great views. The property manager is super polite, prompt and helpful. You can easily get in touch via WhatsApp and he also arranged the tuktuk to go into a nice restaurant. Breakfast will be served in the room. I would always book it again and send my best wishes to the team of Luxe Wilderness

We had the most unforgettable stay at The Lavender House in Sri Lanka. From the moment we arrived, everything was perfect. The location is absolutely stunning, with breathtaking views all around—truly a piece of paradise. We were welcomed with a wonderful surprise: a room upgrade to what felt like a private, luxurious villa. The space was unbelievably spacious and beautifully designed, offering total comfort and privacy. As we were celebrating our honeymoon, the staff went above and beyond to make it special with lovely welcome snacks and a room decorated with such thoughtful detail—it meant so much to us. Our personal butler was exceptional—attentive, kind, and always ready to help with anything we needed. One of the highlights of our stay was a scenic tour organized for us, and they even packed a delicious lunch box, which was such a considerate touch. This was the perfect stop after hiking Stage 3 of the Pekoe Trail. It is right next to the Trail before town. The view is fantastic, it is quiet and an ideal place to relax and recover. We had a hot shower and a good night of sleep in the comfy bed. Prosper is your host and a true gem. He will make you feel at home immediately. He helped us having food delivered to the Homestay, made us some tea and a nice breakfast in the morning and organized a tour on the nearby tea farm.
