In a quiet location but only 10 mins from the beach, with lovely grounds. Accommodation is beautifully designed and carefully thought out. Danaith, our host was most welcoming and was available to help with transport and any other questions. Great breakfasts and Danaith not only arranged a massage for us, him and his wife cooked us a fantastic meal one evening. Highly recommended.

We completely loved this accomodation. Location was perfect, as we came by train and left by bus, it was walking distance everywhere. Whole property is super cool with nice touches that makes it very cozy. Room was extremely spacious with very comfortable huge bed. I liked balcony with nice seating area, which we did not have time to use :) . Whole style of hotels gives you nice colonial vibes, which is so typical for this town, so it just perfectly completed whole feeling from this Sri Lankan historical gem. Stuff was super nice always have nice words for us and helped us with all the questions we had.

Everything was perfect. The family was amazingly hospitable. Way above and beyond our expectations. The room was spotlessly clean. Super comfortable beds, the place was just awesome! We were leaving at 6am, the hostess made sure we had a cup of coffee before we left. Cannot find fault with anything. I would highly recommend Silver rail to everyone. We had an amazing stay here — everything was truly excellent! The staff were incredibly kind and attentive; both the young man and the older gentleman working there went out of their way to help us and make sure we were comfortable. We stayed in a five-person room that had two double bed and one single, plus a shared bathroom. The room was spotless and very cozy. The bathroom has an open-style concept, which might not suit everyone for a long stay, but since we were there only for a few nights, it wasn’t a problem at all. Also, there’s a separate restroom downstairs near the restaurant, which is convenient. Breakfast was one of the highlights — they prepare your eggs exactly how you like them, and there were also warm chocolate-banana crepes, fresh fruit, and various drinks. Everything was fresh, tasty, and served with care. The pool isn’t very big, but it’s clean, refreshing, and perfect for cooling off. The garden area is lovely and relaxing, ideal for spending quiet moments outdoors. The beach is about a 15–20 minute walk away — not too close but definitely walkable. On top of all that, it’s an excellent value for money. We honestly paid much less than we expected for the quality of service and comfort we received. It’s a great price-performance option, everything about our stay was pleasant and satisfying 👏🏻

The accommodation is absolutely wonderful. Each cottage is tucked away in a lush cinnamon plantation, offering guests complete privacy and a serene atmosphere. The cottages are impeccably clean and air-conditioned, ensuring a comfortable stay. The location is peaceful, just a 10-minute walk from the beach. Initially, we booked for just one night, but after experiencing this place—by far the best of the seven accommodations we stayed at in Sri Lanka—we decided to extend our stay. The host is exceptionally warm and attentive, making sure every guest feels welcome. Breakfast is another highlight, as the host thoughtfully prepares whatever guests desire, whether it's a traditional local dish or something more familiar.

    Absolutely all... Hosts were the best people we met during our trip across Srí Lanka. Host are very friendly, always with smile. Helping you with everything you want. Their smiles we will remeber forever. You can choose from english and local breakfast, we tried both. Local breakfast are very great i can recommend them. Beach is 1km ahead by walk, where is also many restaurants if you want. If we will go again to Srí Lanka, for sure we will visit again Villa Talpe <3
