Our family, including a 3 and 8-year-old, just returned from a magical trip with M'Hamid Sahara Camp! Arriving in M'Hamid, we were delighted to find a vibrant cultural festival in full swing. Cheikh Larbi's team went above and beyond, ensuring we felt safe and comfortable exploring the festivities. We then embarked on an incredible 3-night dromedary safari. Our guide was fantastic - knowledgeable, attentive, and wonderful with the kids. He led us through breathtaking landscapes, we even saw gazelles! The kids loved the gentle dromedaries. Sleeping under the stars was a highlight. With zero light pollution, the sky was an endless tapestry of stars - truly awe-inspiring! Cheikh Larbi, who grew up in the desert, shared his vast knowledge and passion with us. We learned so much about the ecosystem, the stars, and Berber culture. The camp itself was an oasis of comfort and tranquility, with delicious food and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. As a father, I felt confident in the safety and security of the environment. We were treated like family. Highly recommend M'Hamid Sahara Camp for families seeking an authentic and unforgettable Sahara adventure!

If you are looking for a quiet and relaxing place, that's the one. Nice atmosphere, very helpful owner. If you want a desert tour just ask as it can be arranged according to your needs. The actual place is about 4 min drive from Mhamid so if you don't want to drive just for a dinner ask the owner as he can prepare that for you.

As agreed, Ali waited for us in the center of M'hamida, where we parked the vehicle in a secured parking lot for 20 MAD per night. The jeep ride through the desert takes 1.5 hours (€90 for the jeep). After an interesting drive, we arrive at a beautiful small family camp run by Mohamed together with Ali. There are 4 tents and 3 bivouacs in the camp, which makes for a family-friendly atmosphere. Tea and snacks await you. Then we walk along the wonderful surrounding dunes. This is followed by an excursion with camels into the sunset organized by Mohamed (€15 pp/h). After the trip was a fantastic dinner from chef Ali, who prepared the best soup of our entire trip, and the tajine was also superb. Followed by stargazing and hanging out by the camp fire. In the morning, a pleasant simple breakfast and departure from the camp. . Thanks to Mohamed, Ali and the team for a wonderful day and night in a real desert. We recommend it to everyone who wants an authentic experience.

Very beautiful place with friendly staff, and great food. The owner was very kind and offered as an additional room with heating (free of charge), because some of us were sick. There is a wonderful patio inside with a tree full of birds.

Riad Imuhar is the most beautiful place to stay. Hamid built this superb guesthouse with the help of another local craftsman from traditional materials of this area ; Clay plaster over clay bricks , Clay wall interiors with dappled light brown and red hues, such a beautiful natural finish that the grand designs team would be raving about... So much texture , artistic touches everywhere. Large bedrooms with beds thst are so comfortable , perfect pillows . Ornate spacious bathrooms . It's December.and cold here in the mornings and at night. Amazingly , you come through the front door and you feel heat everywhere . There are no heaters ! ..it's the clay walls. Natural storage heaters that emit heat at night and in the summer Vice Versa , the clay keeps the place cool. How about that for eco friendly. Hamid is also a fountain of Knowledge on Amazigh culture. Really Cool. I've learnt a lot from him about the trees that grow in this climate, the language , it's beautiful alphabet. He kniows the desert , has camels and does treks and trips into it. The real deal. He has made me the best meals i've had in Morocco , perhaps ever , garnished with herbs from the garden. A brilliant chef. Large colourful healthy meals..So good. Himself and Maria have been the kindest of hosts. I stayed here an extra day just to be here in this beautiful tranquil house.. You've got the desert outside and can walk right into it..Amazing..so quiet, still ..vast. I highly recomend you stay here. It's beautiful.

Amazing experience, I miss the desert already! The best hosts, very good and pure people, a rarity in this world, tip them well they deserve it! And take their transfer! No way you will not get lost getting there from Mhamid (even if you have a 4x4)

the camp was everything you need to feel the Sahara, you cannot expect an hotel or something luxury, you have to share a very clean bathroom and the trip is a couple of hours in a trail road, but what do you expect. in exchange you will have all the feelings of being alone in a wonderful environment, a thrilling sunset a starred sky like no others, quality time with some nomad music and a breathtaking sundown. what could you ask more. the staff is nice, always ready to help or answer your questions. definitely worth it
