Everything about Villa Marilu is perfect - it's located right on the lagoon so you always have a stunning view when you walk out of your room. It's only a 5 min drive from town so easy to access all the great restaurants in Bacalar. The rooms are comfortable, clean and have everything you need. And finally, the host Eduardo is incredible - he's so warm and welcoming and goes out of his way to make sure you everything you need. Breakfast was amazing and it was awesome to have the kayaks to use whenever we wanted. It's so nice that they have only 4 rooms so you don't feel like just a number, you get a real personal experience. Definitely stay here you won't regret it. P.S. I recommend getting up early to catch the sunrise.

The hostess is a wonderfully kind and helpful woman and she makes the stay very personable. The breakfast was great and the garden is a lovely quiet space to relax in. It is also great that you can rent a bicycle at the property at a good price. I was so happy to be able to pay a half day and stay until 11 pm when my bus left. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was nice and hot.

The host is friendly and takes good care of the accommodation. She informed us of situations such as power outages and bad weather. There was a time when there was a lack of gas for cooking, and she quickly solved the problem. It's a clean and convenient accommodation. It's a little far from the cent er, but I enjoyed the walk.
