great location in the jungle with amazing views from the top of the tree house as well as the restaurant. great breakfast with good local coffee or herbsl tea and very good dinner! all staff - and especially Elias - were were friendly and helpful. they arranged the ferry tickets for us & our jeep, and had very good tips for us! we definitely stay with you again once back to Ometepe!

The best part of staying here is that Hector makes you feel like family. He is such a kind man. He's willing to stop what he's doing to help at any time. We felt safe there because he was always either downstairs or nearby. The location is very ideal. It's right off the main road and I liked how it was kind of central to all of the adventures and activities we wanted to do. The Saturday market was also right along that road as well which was cool! It is a great budget friendly place. You have everything you need. Don't expect it to be luxurious but expect to have everything you need here. Plus you get to look out at the lake from your patio! Great coffee spot! There's a couple good restaurants that are walking distance as well as a tiny "pulperia" to get some basic food for the place. If you're wanting to do all of your cooking here just make sure to bring some groceries from the Mainland as your options will be limited.

    El bamboo is in a fantastic location on the shore of the lake in the lovely village of balgüe. The treehouse had everything we needed including a fully equipped kitchen and a fan to keep us cool. The garden surrounding the cabin was beautiful too. Che and Indira were great hosts, always around if you had a problem or needed a local recommendation! Make sure you head down to the lake shore for lovely sunsets behind the volcano Also comedor Isabel down the street had great food!

    Best choice when you are visiting Ometepe! The Bamboo Cabins are built by the amazing Che, who's a very kind host, that provides you with all the information you need. The rooms have a mosquito net and the open structure and the fan make a nice sleeping temperature. The location is close to the water and close to the beautiful village of Balgüe, which is best to discover the island and have a full authentic experience with a lot of cheap and very tasty Comedores.
