Thus was a great stop on the way to Ometepe. The host Hans couldn't have been more helpful, took me to the atm and to buy a sim card. Room was spacious with all you need.

Maria doesn't really speak english, but she definitely trys hard to make you feel comfortable! Also, the food is really good, you have to try the filete del pescado & banano con leche! We did not meet too many other backpackers in the 4 nights we stayed but nevertheless worth a visit.

The hostel is really close to where the ferry gets and everything else in Moyogalpa. Staff was lovely and very helpful and we really enjoyed the peace and the swimming pool.

The eco-friendly Surf Cabañas are just so beautifully designed with only local materials. It’s was so laid back, relaxed and very close to the surf spot at Playa Maderas just down the hill. There have been three Cabañas when I was there. Every one has its own special touch and they differ in size. All well thought, fully equipped and a great way of to enjoy Playa Maderas, San Juan del Sur and the whole costal area from a peaceful retreat. Communication with Victoria and people in charge was easy and very welcoming. Would definitely recommend for solo, couple and friends travellers.

super nice hostel/hotel with a swimming pool and hood breakfasts run by a very nice local family, i even did a tour of the island with the owner on his tuktuk, i highly recommend it
