I would definitelly recommend staying at this guesthouse. The two lovely ladies who run the place are incredibly kind and helpful. You can borrow hiking poles and store your luggage for free, which is super convenient for trekking trips. There's also a filtered water refill station available. The owner also booked bus tickets to Kathmandu for us. The rooms are clean and equipped with a fan, and the Wi-Fi connection is reliable. We originally planned to stay just one night before our trek, but ended up returning and staying another three nights afterward—we felt so comfortable here. As two woman traveling together, we felt completely safe. The location is perfect—just a short walk from the Lakeside area, where you'll find plenty of restaurants and shops. On top of all that, the price is very reasonable. There's even a kitchen you can use and a rooftop where you can hang your laundry to dry. An all-around great place to stay!

My bond with the family goes back 46 years, and forty years after my last visit I found the new generation just as welcoming, accommodating, and eager to assist with any request. The room was very pleasant, the bed extremely comfortable, and the bathroom has a perfect hot shower. The garden is a little piece of heaven in the area. It's amazing to see how the New Tourist Guest House has evolved from its humble beginnings, while maintaining its wonderfully familial ambiance. This time I will not wait 40 years to return!

Owner was very helpful in organizing busses and guiding for us in the Himalayas. Plus, he and his wife were super flexible in arranging breakfast early in the morning which is not very common. The room was very clean and comfortable. The toilet had toilet paper and soap. We were also provided with clean towels. All round, excellent experience!

We loved our time at peace eye. Arjun and Damantha and family are very warm and caring. They even wanted our kids to have dal bhat with them one evening while we went out for dinner. This is also in a great location and quieter than other parts of lakeside but still convenient. Plus the rooftop has an excellent view of sunrise/sunset on the annapurnas. Hope we get to return soon.

If you’re coming back from a long hike in Nepal, this is the place to be. It’s impressive how all the staff feels very connected to the place and does everything to make you feel at home. You can find everywhere photos/ books about the story of Mingtang and how it all started. The garden is gorgeous and it’s quite silent, considering it’s in the city center of Pokhara. The owner is easily available and she can help you with everything, booking bus tickets, planning your day and suggesting restaurants. They make breakfast boxes in case you’re leaving early in the morning!

Dinesh House is such a lovely little spot to spend time. Nestled up high, you get amazing views of Begnas Lake as well as the Annapurna Range. Such a wonderful, peaceful garden to also spend time in relaxing, reading, observing. So appreciative of the authentic Dhal Bat served for dinners. Breakfast was also yummy and freshly made. The hosts are so kind and made this stay lovely for me and my family. I would love to come back again.

The most wholesome experience I’ve had in Nepal and actually ever during travelling! If you want to experience Nepali culture and local life look no further! Such a lovely family who takes you into their home in this little village up in the hills. We cooked together (always vegetarian btw), got a village tour, learned a lot about rural agriculture, tried on traditional Nepali dresses, hiked to a waterfall and swam in the river. The price per night included accomodation, all the meals & activities.

Staying in Barang with Kabi's family was the highlight of our 4 weeks in Nepal. Ama and Baba were so welcoming, and they showed us so much about village life in Nepal. We were invited to help with cooking and farmwork, so we learned alot. Our favourite part was sitting in the kitchen to have meals together (by the way, all meals are included). We will always cherish our memories of Barang and can't wait to visit again one day.

Amazing place, with wonderful and hospitable people. If you want to feel the real atmosphere of a Nepalese village, you have to come here. They organize various activities on site that will allow you to get to know rulal life even better. The best food, wonderful experience, highly recommended.

Regardless of poor weather and visibility, the place had its own charm. The location is perfect - you can either stay in and relish the beauty of ordinary, or pack your day bag and hike to nearby villages and dive into the lure of hilly terrain. The staffs are friends and I must say, I found a family in them. I loved Annapurna Eco Village for its simplicity and calmness. I highly recommend it for those who are looking to get away from their city life and experience the village glamour that comes with comfort.
