Kindest family renting nice and clean rooms in the basement of their beautiful property, bathroom shared with other guests and access to shared kitchen and wonderful balcony with view over the lake. I enjoyed the complementary espresso in the morning. Wish I could have stayed longer than one night!

The choice of rooms was fabulous. Great way to spend time with extended family together in one spot. Love the grounds and interior. Barbecue area and fire was a lovely way to spend the evenings. Would totally recommend for large group- especially a bridal party getting ready for a wedding.

The house was very homely and we had everything we needed! We only stayed for one night, however we would have been very happy to stay for much longer as it was so comfortable and clean! Loved this gorgeous retreat! Beautiful room, bathroom and kitchenette. Beautiful garden entrance, beautiful view of Pukerua Bay shoreline over to Kapiti Island. Awesome local path along shoreline to point with views of crashing waves on rugged shore, even a cathedral cove. Stunning landscape looking out from deluxe retreat!

    Our room was clean and comfortable with lovely views of the bay. There is a bus stop outside. Whitby village is a short drive away with supermarket and restaurants available. The local Library is worth a visit. We chose to make our own breakfast but used the facilities to make tea and coffee.
