Perfection in Tavira – The Ultimate Holiday Home! We’ve just returned from the most amazing stay at this incredible holiday house in Tavira, and we honestly wouldn’t change a single thing – it was perfect! The house itself is stunning – designed across three spacious floors, it’s finished to a very high spec with everything you could possibly need and more. Air conditioning runs throughout, which kept the entire home beautifully cool even during the hottest days. There are three huge, modern bathrooms which made it so easy for everyone to get ready without any queues – such a luxury! The location is ideal – tucked away just enough from the main streets to be peaceful and quiet at night, yet only a short stroll to all the best bars, restaurants, shops and the charming old town. Tavira is truly a dream destination: cobbled streets, beautiful architecture, fantastic dining options, lively markets, and plenty of boutique shops. A highlight for us was the short boat ride to Tavira Island – home to the most stunning, golden beach we’ve ever seen. It’s incredibly clean, family-friendly, with loads of great places to eat, rent sunbeds, and even free, spotless toilets – a rare find! The house is stocked better than any holiday rental we’ve stayed in – from Tupperware and ice packs to a cool bag ready for beach days. There are two terraces: one on the ground floor that’s shaded and perfect for alfresco meals, and a gorgeous rooftop terrace ideal for sunbathing or enjoying a quiet drink in the evening. The host was absolutely fantastic – brilliant communication from the start, sending us helpful info on WhatsApp before we even arrived, including market days and itinerary suggestions. They were super flexible, kindly letting us drop our bags early and check in ahead of time, which made our arrival stress-free. We genuinely couldn’t have asked for more. If you're heading to Tavira, this is the place to stay. We already can’t wait to come back!

Location was perfect short walk to the centre of Tavira, cafe/bar only 2 mins walk away. Supermarket only 2 mins away. The host provided lots of information and was available throughout our stay. The property was was amazing, fantastic views across Tavira, balcony to watch the sun set and was lovely and clean. The bed and sofa were very comfortable. The swimming pool was fantastic with plenty of sun loungers. The entire property can be accessed step free with lift access. Lots of car parking and plenty with shade for the hot weather. I would highly recommend staying at this property.

Casa do Alto is a first class accommodation. Everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay was provided and the standard within the property was faultless. Mario was really helpful and let us leave our luggage there before check-in time 🕰️ until the cleaning was complete. The location is quiet. The house was spotless and we will definitely be back.

Fantastic location. Great value with good breakfast. Big room. Very comfy big bed. Right on the river. Easy walk from bus station. Very quiet.great place to relax for a few days after spending time in bigger cities. Easy and cheap ferry ride to the beach. Great eateries Very near. Great roof terrace with fabulous view. Everything in Tavira is walkable and easy regional train to more lively places like Faro only 40 mins.

    Great villa- lounge area and outside particularly nice. Air con good and very nice grounds, Tavira plaza very close by with big supermarket, walkable into Tavira although a 5 min taxi was a great option.

    Excelent location (in the country but with wonderfull islands and beaches, boats, in a radius of 5Km - you can walk until the Ria Formos and catch sellfich). Nice pool with kids zone.     Everything, Junior very attentive, as always, accommodation very comfortable, and has everything you need, there's even a nice wee terrace to sit out on to enjoy .... The Castle Restaurant, which is directly below accommodation is amazing, but must book, food mmmmmm..... Location is so central, I did a lot of walking along nature reserve, to nearby wee villages.... oh and ferry to beach ⛱️... definitely a must .... everyone so friendly and helpful.... Junior is the perfect host....
