Wonderful location. My absolute favourite on the garden route. Amazing sunrise and environment. The cottage was very tidy and exceeded our expectations. The staff was incredibly kind and patient: we arrived late and they still made us dinner. They also provided us with a breakfast package as we left very early in the morning. Very very satisfied!

Everything was perfect. The welcoming of Cherryl when we arrived was great even though we were to late. The appartement was above our expectations. The peace and quiet at the buckhouse and heidelberg. Cherryl gave us tips for places to visit, restaurants , ... Everything we needed to know any questions she always had the answer. And she was great with the kids also. Cherryl and her husband are really the most friendly hosts we ever met

Linda and Peter were very friendly. Peter took time to explain how the farm worked to my husband which he really appreciated. Linda came with medicine for my upset stomach. Added bonus: HOME MADE BREAD so fluffy and utterly delicious! Also milk straight from the cow... we were not expecting these added touches. We felt cherished like part of their family! Another bonus was the horse riding into the mountains! This was a wonderful experience!

What a peaceful oasis. Anna and Arno are lovely hosts who do everything to make you feel at home. They also gave me great tips for my next day's trip. The place is quiet, you just hear the birds singing, so your mind can really calm down instantly. I loved having my meals on the veranda with a view. Dinner and breakfast were outstanding, all fresh and high quality ingredients, plus a lot of it homemade by Anna (her homebaked bread is fabulous, and the chutney and jams, too!). I even got to taste some South African specialties. Anna catered perfectly to my vegetarian needs. The mattress was on the harder side, which was good for my back. The place is incredible - so many antiques, and almost all of them are far from randomly bought - instead, they belong to Anna's family, so it is "the real deal" and gives the place its soul. If you like it minimalist and modern - this is not your place. But if you like something unique and vintage with wonderful hosts, this will be to your liking. Also Anna had put some lovely plant decoration everywhere, with so much attention to detail. The doggos were super cuddly and friendly, too. Thank you Anna and Arno, I will gladly return when back in this area!

This property was AMAZING! For anyone looking to get away from all the noise and hustle of the city life, this is an absolute DREAM. It's about 3km off the national road, around 1 or 2 hills, providing you with absolute privacy and the sounds of nature. The place itself is modern inside and out and we had no issues with water (specifically hot water). The outside shower is something to experience ;) The views are just WOW! It's super close (±7km) to Heidelberg centre if you want to go into the city for some snacks/drinks (which is what we did). The host - Cecelia (and her husband Pierre) - was absolutely amazing and friendly! We had such a great experience and always felt like they were ready to help! Even wifi was more than good enough for our needs. 10/10 would recommend!
