The dinners left us entirely full and we still had food on our plates and every question - including, what fruit is on these trees, was left answered. If you would like to stay somewhere where you feel at home, comfortable and safe - book here. My favourite moment was when the host was knocking on the door opposite ours, telling them that they’d made him lunch (which hadn’t been asked for) to prepare them for the early wake up and trekking day ahead. The hosts are incredibly generous, welcoming and considerate. If you wish to experience feeling like you’ve stumbled on your Albanian grandparents home - they will feed you, house you in a clean and lovely home and welcome you.

The house of dreams was truly a dream It was very very clean, cozy and very nicely decorated The host communicated well and accommodated our needs The Wi-Fi was really good It was located in a good area, we pretty much walked to most places and the apartment itself had everything we needed. The kids absolutely loved it and didn’t want to leave, and we as adults second that I would really really recommend this apartment to anyone visiting Shkoder . On top of the excellent apartment, it’s in a quiet area yet so close to all the main areas of the city and also close to many good restaurants, markets and shops …

The mom of our host did not speak english, still, she sat with us and tried to communicate with us. Sweetest lady. Our Host spoke English and was extremely friendly. So friendly, he has a special place in our heart now. He sat with us, drank with us and he even sat down with us to play UNO. He never played UNO in his life before, so we taught him how to play it and he enjoyed it a lot. He even won multiple times :) He shared stories with us and was extremely keen on helping us with everything. We only spent one night here, but I wish we could have spent more. This place is healing.
