I recommend this place in Villach if you want to rest and have a little walk. There is free parking and good access to it. Very nice experience.

Very nice large and clean room with a great view of the slopes, really helpful and friendly staff We used the excellent wellness every day. The location with direct access to the slopes was great. Family-run for over 300 years, Gasthof Post in Rennweg is just off the A10 motorway and a 5-minute drive from the Katschberg Ski Area. It offers a sauna, steam bath, and free Wi-Fi. We enjoyed our stay at Gasthof Post very much. Traditional Austrian decor with the hints of modern was exactly what we wanted. Super clean, comfortable bads and specious rooms. Great Austrian hospitality.

The landlady is the most kind person, it made for a highlight of my trip. The Pension may be on the outskirts of the town, but it's located just at the Alpe Adria bicycle way, which I was taking. The place is modern, sparkling clean, quiet. The breakfast buffet was just outstanding. Also, the place provided a locked space (a garage) for the bicycle, which most places on the bike route didn't.
