Even if you've never felt comfortable around dogs before, Stephen's dog Nico will help you overcome your fear. Nico is a well-balanced dog that everyone will love. We stayed there for a week and would definitely stay again if we were to vacation in the region. We never got bored during our time there or in the area. The view of Deer Lake is magnificent. Fantastic and comfortable spot, a fully-equipped, spacious apartment on the lower floor of a lovely house. Superb communication with the owner and a really wonderful spot in Newfoundland. The little village of Trinity is an easy, 20-minute walk, and it's worth the visit for sure, and it's a easy drive down to the Random Passage and the gorgeous hiking trails that abound. Absolutely first class accommodations!!

Great location for when you're visiting L'Anse aux Meadows. The room was cozy, but had 2 chairs, which is really important to us as readers. Also a fan, to run at night. Breakfast was served at a big table in the gathering area that had lots of comfy seating and great views. (Nice fluffy pancakes!) We slept very well. A very nice stay!
