The cabin is modern, stylish, and cozy. We had everything we needed. Enjoying the view while relaxing in the soaker tub in the bedroom was the perfect simple luxury.

We had the little cottage to ourselves, surrounded by natural wild gardens. Chickens, geese and rabbits on the property (no roosters). The hostess are very nice. The wife is a painter and the husband is a glass artist. The walls of the cottage are decorated with their wonderful art. Away from the town of Powell River, but close enough for convenience.

Exceptional hosts, immaculate property, quiet and practical setting. Close to the amenities of Sechelt, Joyveal's Homey Place was an ideal base for our two-week stay on The Sunshine Coast. We found the house to be spacious, well-maintained and pristine. The kitchen has everything you need, including items like coffee, tea, foil, kitchen roll and washing up liquid. The wrap-round garden is delightful with an abundance of seating areas, foliage and water features. Jovy and Leah are amazing hosts. They responded immediately to our communications. If you're still thinking about whether to go to The Sunshine Coast, I can honestly say it is possibly the most stunning landscape I have ever seen - expanses of forest meet gorgeous bays. Our favourite places were Chatterbox Falls, Skookumchuk Narrows, Pender Harbour and Halfmoon Bay. Thank you, Jovy and Leah, for being great hosts. This surely was a holiday of a lifetime.

The location was the bottom floor of a house, below the hosts. Hosts Karen and Chris were great: met us despite our late arrival; very friendly; answered all of our questions before and during the stay. The house is completely furnished, very clean, and comfortable (we stayed as a family of four with 2 teenage boys). Karen and Chris helped with an introduction to the town and recommendations for things to do, and Karen even personally showed us some of her favorite spots. The house is a short walk (2 minutes?) from the harbor. Chris recommended a guide for salmon fishing; we caught salmon and cooked it on the grill in the back yard. The boys loved the hot tub.
