I loved having my own kitchen space and fridge and the private balcony was ideal for eating meals. the location is so peaceful, lots of birdsong in the morning (which is way more restful than the cockerals). its about a 30 minute walk from town but the walk is beautiful along the coast and pass the sunset moais (10 minute stroll or 5 mins to the solitary moai at the end of the road which you'll have all to yourself at sunset). other hotels in this price bracket are also a 30/40 minute walk but along streets so this location is a winner for me. the host (no english) but so friendly and helpful, always kept free drinking water, napkins and toilet paper stocked up. he even took me on a tour of his veg garden and introduced me to the mini melon. the place is peaceful, host friendly and accommodating, pickup to/from the airort included. I loved my stay here.

Laundry was also washed gratis, a rarity in any location without a dedicated washing machine. A good breakfast was included in the price, which was not stated in the original booking. You can also book the two tours offered on the island from the hotel. Extremely highly recommended.

Rooms at Hotel Boutique La Perouse are set up as double rooms but may be changed to become triple rooms upon request. What a great hotel. The location was perfect and the bungalow was clean and bright; however, the best part was the staff! Paula and her helpers made are stay so enjoyable that we plan to return with our kids and grandkids.
