Situated in Pingyao, 200 metres from Ming and Qing Street , Hongyuyuan Family Guesthouse boasts a restaurant and free WiFi. It is located in Ancient City of Pingyao, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Very beautiful, old Chinese style. It was very clean and even for a simple stay, they provide you with everything needed. I recommend this hotel if you like traditional and Chinese architecture.

Set in Pingyao in the Shanxi Region, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Xiangshengyuan Hostel features a terrace and views of the city. This is a family-run hotel with the whole family pitching in. They were delightful and keen to be helpful with lots of cups of tea, advice and assistance with purchasing tickets. It felt like I was staying with friends. Very little english, but fearless with using translation apps. Very thoughtful - gave me a bottle of water for the train home after dropping me at the station. The standout for this property was the staff. I wish them every success with their business.

Like living in ancient times, but with modern facilities. Lovely architecture and very thoughtful interior design. Friendly and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast. Ideal location. Nice touch of providing fruits and snacks in the room and unique takeaway items.

Offering Chinese and Western food on site, Pingyao Harmony Hotel features well-decorated guestrooms and simple dormitory rooms for guests. Wonderful family - all very helpful and speaking excellent English. Breakfast is delicious. Location is just perfect. The yards and the common areas are as if you were in a set of an ancient China’s movie.

The owner was very accomoding and came to pick me up as I was lost trying to find the place. The room in itself was very pretty, it felt like going back in time!
