The staff was so kind and happy all the time, they helped me a lot and they speak English, which is pretty rare in China, even in some hotels. They gave me a map and recommended some places, also asked a taxi for me for the next day that I had my train to Beijing in the morning. The shared dorm was clean, had shampoo, air conditioner, clean sheets, futon, and pillow. Also curtains for privacy. I enjoyed my stay a lot. They even gave me a little souvenir on my way out and free water. Thank you for a very pleasant stay. Amazing price and just five minutes walking from North Gate of the old city. Supermarket right on the corner.

Set in Pingyao in the Shanxi Region, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Xiangshengyuan Hostel features a terrace and views of the city. This is a family-run hotel with the whole family pitching in. They were delightful and keen to be helpful with lots of cups of tea, advice and assistance with purchasing tickets. It felt like I was staying with friends. Very little english, but fearless with using translation apps. Very thoughtful - gave me a bottle of water for the train home after dropping me at the station. The standout for this property was the staff. I wish them every success with their business.

Datong Yunzhong Traditional Courtyard is located in Datong Ancient Town, a 5-minute walk from Huayan temple and Nine Dragon Wall. It is a quadrangle courtyard Inn with traditional decoration. Like living in ancient times, but with modern facilities. Lovely architecture and very thoughtful interior design. Friendly and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast. Ideal location. Nice touch of providing fruits and snacks in the room and unique takeaway items.

Offering Chinese and Western food on site, Pingyao Harmony Hotel features well-decorated guestrooms and simple dormitory rooms for guests. Everything was perfect! The place was clean, comfortable, and in a great location. The host was incredibly kind and helpful. Would definitely stay again!

I had a great time staying at this place.The room was very clean, and everything was well-organized .The hostel also had a lovely tarace where I could relax It was conveniently, making it easy to get around the city.The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming, and I would definitely recommend it to other travelers!
