It is difficult to know where to begin! From arrival we felt welcomed. The hotel is well designed, the rooms are very comfortable and spotlessly clean. There are so many little touches to make it feel you’ve arrived to stay with family or friends. Our host Irene is enthusiastic and super helpful. Offering suggestions and help for every travel question (and we had many)!! Breakfast was ample and covered all the bases as to offerings that were fresh and yummy! Our airport transfers went smoothly. Excellent drivers in both directions. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our days here and highly recommend Casa Alegria as a great base to visit the northern end of Santiago.

It's a short distance from the beach in a quiet street opposite a local school. The shared areas as kitchen, living room, bathroom and the balcony are cleaned daily. Our room was comfortable and had all we needed. We really appreciated Cino our host, who gave us a lot of tips about where to go eat and how to best explore the island. We can only recommend him and his business.

It was a pleasur to stay her. Carls and his whole family are such nice persons. The neibourhood is not to ni, but once inside you will forget it at once. Carlos even gave us a ride und picked us up at some nice Dinnerplace. And we even got an Airport dropoff including an breakfast wich wasen't suposed to be. Great place amazing Family, thank you all you made our stay an fantastic experience

Tugged away from the rest of the world, Ja opened a room of her ancestor's home to guests who would like to experience what it's like to live in Cape Verdian raw country side - which includes being offline, taking cold showers with a bucket and a mug, sleeping in pin drop silence (apart from the roosters), walking in the steep hills, etc. One can go with a shared taxi until the roundabout of Sao Domingos. From there, a local can come and pick you up for 300 ESC, or you can walk (it's absolutely safe, the locals are friendly and helpful, location on the map is accurate). They can also drop you to the airport for 1500 ESC, and it just takes 30mins to reach. Ja knows how to cook for vegetarians, too. She is a witty and interesting host to talk to. I am still amazed at the purity and simplicity of this place, and hope to be back one day.

Hospitality: The host was an amazing and friendly person. His warm welcome made me feel right at home. He was always available for questions and ready to help whenever I needed it. Overall: I am very satisfied with my stay in this apartment. The combination of the great location, the tidiness, and especially the host's hospitality made my experience unforgettable. I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming stay.

Gîte de rando haut encontra-se em Mato Correia e providencia um jardim, um terraço e um restaurante. O alojamento apresenta um bar e comodidades de desportos aquáticos. Iolanda and Johannes are kind and welcoming hosts who make you feel at ease from the very first contact. They run a restaurant just a few minutes from home — Sabor — where the food is absolutely to die for. They have a lovely daughter, Amy, and Iolanda’s mother, Mrs. Marcolina, is a true force of nature. The apartment has everything you could possibly need, and the views are beyond words . the photos don’t do it justice. The area is perfect for those who enjoy hiking or simply taking in the surrounding nature. The locals are friendly; everyone greets you, and with some, you can even have a nice little chat. The children are absolutely adorable and offer real life lessons. Lastly, a special thanks to Iolanda’s cousin, Simone, who made me feel part of the community and helped me discover a bit more about the locals everyday life.
