Was invited for a birthday drink and driven to the port at departure. Arranged a mountain tour with a private driver. The large room and lovely big terrace were very neat and tidy. Well-equipped kitchen. Everything spotless. Can warmly recommend this place.

I just finished my second stay at Kasa d Vizin as a solo traveler, and it was just as fantastic as the first time! Nestled in the stunning Paul Valley, the views are breathtaking and the peaceful atmosphere makes it the perfect spot to relax and unwind. The guesthouse itself is comfortable, clean, and charmingly decorated, with a laid-back vibe that instantly puts you at ease. My room had everything I needed to feel right at home. I was pleasantly surprised by the vegan meals; even though I don’t usually eat plant-based, the food was fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. Breakfast was a real treat and the perfect start to my day. The staff were friendly and welcoming, always ready to offer great tips for exploring the area and ensuring I had everything I needed. Their recommendations truly enhanced my experience. Overall, Kasa d Vizin is the place to be when you’re in Santo Antão, regardless of your dietary preferences. I left feeling refreshed and can’t wait to plan my next visit!

Nhìn ra thành phố, Pousada do Ceu ở Paul cung cấp chỗ nghỉ có sân hiên. WiFi miễn phí có sẵn ở toàn bộ chỗ nghỉ. Location is flawless - on a quiet street, but just off the main road. Aluguars stop virtually opposite the property and are very frequent, both going up the Paul Valley and along the coastal road. There is a little mini market just around the corner, open until 20:00. The owner is super - helpful and able to advise on all the best walks in the area. He suggested a much better walk than the one we initially wanted to do; he had maps and suggested places to eat. The room was very comfortable, clean, and the balcony was a nice bonus. The kitchen area is really nice, half al-fresco. All the staff were lovely and kind and very helpful. The internet works fine - there are 2 networks to choose from. I was also very grateful to have access to a guest fridge in the kitchen area. We regretted cancelling one of the 2 nights we'd initially wanted to stay and only staying 1. For bonus points, there is also a little 8-week-old puppy :)

Providing sea views, Kaza Ladera in Ilha de Santo Antão provides accommodation, a bar, a shared lounge, a garden and a terrace or balcony. The host Evandro is wonderful, makes you feel welcome, answers to all your questions, and gives good advice if we ask. Our host organized the trasport from and to Porto Novo. Amelia prepares a wonderful breakfast. The place is great, it is full of history, it is beautifully decorated with vintage furniture that belonged to the family, Evandro will tell you the history if you ask. The bed is confortable, the place is spotless clean. The sunsets at the terrace are amazing, as well as gazing at the starts in the evening before bedtime. I strongly recommend this place to stay, and I will come back.

Guillaume and the whole team are very friendly. The view from the (public) balcony is great. I really recommend this hotel to everyone who is going to Santo Antao…:-) Obrigado!

We were met by Lieve at the Ferry Terminal, she arranged a rental car and guided us to the villa (10 minutes from the Ferry Terminal). Lieve and Geert went out of there way to make our stay as comfortable as possibe. The Villa has been built by them with an eye for detail. The villa is very spacious, 3 spacious bedrooms, each with a toilet/bath room, in two of these rooms next to the double beds bunkbeds for two kids. In living room an additional seperate toilet on top. Also a spacious kitchen with everything you need. The swimming pool is covered every evening so it stays warm (28 Celsius). Very important in winter months, we were at some other places where swimming was only for the brave (24 C) or even unbarable (20 C).

Plase is perfectly located, the ownes and the ladies that work there are very nice and helpful. Finally, the breakfast was excellent and complete to prepare for a hiking.

The kitchen is fully equipped with all the tableware and cookware. However, the shops in Ponta do Sol are really tiny, so if you're travelling by car I'd suggest to do your grocery shopping in bigger villages (e.g. we've found a relatively big shop in Ribeira Grande) or even before departing Mindelo, especially if you want to purchase alcohol. Anyway, if you don't want to cook yourself, there are several cafes/restaurants nearby, but I suggest to book the place for dinner in advance, as the best places are fully booked. Good wi-fi, plenty of parking place on the street nearby, key is left in the locker box, so you don't have to worry about time of arrival. The host is very sweet and helpful - she has sent all the precise instructions on whatsapp in advance and it was very easy to contact her anytime.
