Food portions were very generous, excellent wifi, and there was also free drinking water (instead of having to buy small bottles all the time). Ana helped with planning my hikes and organizing a guide. It's not too long a walk to Paul to catch the aluguers though it's important to keep in mind the island is huge and it takes time and money to get around. I regretted moving to another area b/c I really loved my stay here.

The hosts and staff were absolutely fantastic, friendly and welcoming! the room was clean and comfortable. Do not take note to previous reviews about no hot water! The shower was hot!! The breakfast was served at our table and there was plenty of variety. We will be back!

Providing sea views, Kaza Ladera in Ilha de Santo Antão provides accommodation, a bar, a shared lounge, a garden and a terrace or balcony. great host, good location, good sunset terras. Ivandro also helped us with the taxi collectivo from/to porto novo & he showed us local grogue. For lunch & dinner you need to reserve in advance in the restaurants because all vegetables are coming from porto novoand, Ivandro also made all reservations for us. the washing machine was very nice as most of our clothes were dirty after 14 days.

Large windows with the most amazing view The room was large was impeccably tidy and clean Belém was extremely welcoming and a very helpful. I would have been literally and figuratively lost on my upcoming hike without her. Breakfast including cachupa, bruschetta, yoghurt with (I think) oats, mixed fruit, cake and papaya jam was a perfect start of the day before going on a hike.

We were met by Lieve at the Ferry Terminal, she arranged a rental car and guided us to the villa (10 minutes from the Ferry Terminal). Lieve and Geert went out of there way to make our stay as comfortable as possibe. The Villa has been built by them with an eye for detail. The villa is very spacious, 3 spacious bedrooms, each with a toilet/bath room, in two of these rooms next to the double beds bunkbeds for two kids. In living room an additional seperate toilet on top. Also a spacious kitchen with everything you need. The swimming pool is covered every evening so it stays warm (28 Celsius). Very important in winter months, we were at some other places where swimming was only for the brave (24 C) or even unbarable (20 C).

Casa BB&Djassi felt like home - with big thanks to the ladies who take amazing care of the house and their guests, Talyna, Djenny and Ana. The rooms are comfortable, the location great and it was just a happy place to be. I’m not the only one who extended my stay while there! Communication was also excellent - with the team accommodating my request for good internet in my room, as well as providing multiple options to work across the house. I’ll definitely be back. Plase is perfectly located, the ownes and the ladies that work there are very nice and helpful. Finally, the breakfast was excellent and complete to prepare for a hiking.

The kitchen is fully equipped with all the tableware and cookware. However, the shops in Ponta do Sol are really tiny, so if you're travelling by car I'd suggest to do your grocery shopping in bigger villages (e.g. we've found a relatively big shop in Ribeira Grande) or even before departing Mindelo, especially if you want to purchase alcohol. Anyway, if you don't want to cook yourself, there are several cafes/restaurants nearby, but I suggest to book the place for dinner in advance, as the best places are fully booked. Good wi-fi, plenty of parking place on the street nearby, key is left in the locker box, so you don't have to worry about time of arrival. The host is very sweet and helpful - she has sent all the precise instructions on whatsapp in advance and it was very easy to contact her anytime.
