Located in the historical centre of Znojmo in a reconstructed building dated back to the 15th century, Penzion Kaplanka is set 400 metres from the castle and houses a wine bar. We walked from the train station. The hotel is located in the historic old town in a very historic building with a great view of the countryside and the river. It is very near the pedestrian streets and the market. Close by is a fine restaurant in the local brewery. The hotel is altogether very nice.

Prepared in every aspect for tourists. Particularly important for short stays when there is no time for shopping. A large selection of teas, good coffee machine, milk. Comfortable bed. Collecting keys from the box is very convenient. Some distance from the center, but it's good to take a walk after eating good food and having a beer. Charming town, full of monuments, interesting places and nice people.

Though it might sound like an overstatement, I will say this is one of the best accommodations I've experienced during my travels. It was remote enough to enjoy the peace and quiet along the river, while close enough by car to the town, where we could either do some exploring or just stock up on groceries. The host was amazingly accommodating, greeting us pretty late in the evening and leaving us a nice welcome gift. The vinyl record player was just another treat on top of the existence of hot tub and we have to commend the host for very good taste in music. I recommend this place and hope to return soon.

Nice place, easy to find, located directly on the main road to Vienna. Enough places to park a car. City centre 5 minutes drive. Room was very nice, modern furnishings, very clean. We especially liked the common room on the ground floor with kitchen, tea and coffee as well as children corner with toys.
