Both the hotel and hostel have wonderful grounds that you’re happy to return to after busy days, and while it’s an approximate 10min walk from center, I felt very safe and didn’t mind it one bit. Andrea is so great, infinitely kind and helpful. I enjoyed the pool, I looooved my room.

Martin and his family are amazing and my only regret is we did not get to spend more time with them (too busy enjoying the island). The beds are very comfortable, great shower and hot water, the air conditioning works great, and very spacious room. A very nice yard to relax in. It’s a few blocks off the Main Street and about 10 minutes to the waterfront. Very quite yet close to everything. If we come back to the island, we will stay then again!

Fully equipped kitchen and filtered water. Big bathroom. Walter was very helpful and communication was great. Close to local shops and to the entrance to Tortuga Bay. Excellent value for money.

Jessica was amazing! She was so helpful and kind. Loved the location and facilities. I have no complaints. The kitchen upstairs was always clean and stocked with the right appliances. Loved how close we were to the locals and we could hear roosters singing in the morning.

Quiet. Host was excellent. Helped with tour bookings, allowed us to leave bags late on checkout day awaiting afternoon flight, organized taxi to airport. Gave advice on best ferries to take from Santa Cruz. They understand tourists needs, know how to provide service and are great at it. The location is a 10 minute walk from town. I rated location as excellent as Ecuadorian towns can be noisy in central areas and this tiny walk afforded best sleep in weeks. An escape.

Mercedes was an excellent host. The unit was spacious, and perfect for me and my partner and our friends that we were travelling with. The kitchen is stocked with the basic necessities for cooking, the staff keep the unit clean while you are away, and there is A/C!

Breakfast was great, perfect quantity and variety. The staff was incredibly kind and offered us many options for more activities around the zone (last minute decisions) and they offered always an alternative in case we had difficulties. The bed was super big, enough for two people to enjoy their own space.

I wish I could give this property more than a 10. it’s the best place I have stayed at in years. Nelly the owner is the most wonderful person and goes out of her way to make you feel welcome. From picking you up at the ferry/airport to dropping you off everything is PERFECT. Her breakfasts are the best, the Hostal is spotless and so beautiful. I doubt I will ever find a place as welcoming as Hostal Cann’s House
