CASA ANABELA HOTEL BOUTIQUE está ubicado en Quito, a 1,1 km del centro, y ofrece alojamiento con aire acondicionado, wifi gratis y una terraza. Teatro Sucre queda a 3 minutos a pie de distancia. The hotel is in a great location close to plaza Independencia and the Basilica and churches as well as restaurants. The rooms are simply decorated, which we like, and are spacious and well equipped. We found the beds very comfortable and they readily supplied us with extra blankets and a heater since we were there during a Rainy cold spell. It has a lovely courtyard, a library of Spanish books which I appreciated to help practice reading Spanish and an inside balcony to sit in the sun. But the best part are the proprietors and helper. Maria who manages the place is a gem! She was warm and helpful and even invited us to join her and her husband and son to participate in the Dia del Muertos festivities, which was fascinating. Lenny, her husband, explained what was going on to us in English. It was authentic and kind to include us as friends. Lenny also was our driver and guide to Cotopaxi and another day when we went to Mindo. Their helper, Matty, was lovely too - Just so joyful! - and she helped me with my Spanish. We stayed there a total of 5 days. Two nights before the Galapagos and three nights after. We felt like we made new friends and were sad to leave them!

Starlight Mountain Lodge está ubicado en Sigchos y tiene un gimnasio, jardín, una terraza y bar. The place was perfect for travelers in every scale! The location is right at the start of the quilotoa treck, the views are exceptional, the room was clean and well equipped. There are games and books for the free time, and they had food options for people with restrictions (Im vegetarian and have an allergy to gluten). There are hot water for shower (you just need to know that you should open it for a bit, and not all the way). Also there is a service of transporting your big muchilas to the end of the trail, and a lunch bag to go. Above all the hospitality was so lovely, we got help with everything we needed (including a ride to the atm!). Would definitely recommend!

Ubicado en Chugchilán, Hostal Doña Clarita Inn ofrece alojamiento con wifi gratis y estacionamiento privado gratis. Algunas unidades tienen balcón y/o patio con vista a la montaña o al jardín. We liked everything! The people there are super cute and helpful, the rooms are super comfortable and well thought through and the food is just incredible! For all the vegetarian hikers, I wouldn’t even think one second and book this place again - it was the best vegetarian food I have eaten in south america :)

Los Angeles Stay Inn, ubicado en Quito, cerca de Parque El Ejido y Parque La Carolina, tiene alojamiento con wifi gratis y estacionamiento privado gratis. El aparthotel ofrece una terraza. The subway station was only about a 3-minute walk away, which was very convenient. The room was very clean and comfortable. I was surprised that there was no water in the fridge, but there was a water dispenser in the hallway that we could use. I had to leave early for the airport, and the receptionist kindly booked a taxi for me. It cost around 11 USD and was very helpful.

La Casa de Mármol se encuentra en Riobamba, a 14 km de San Andrés, y ofrece salón compartido y wifi gratis. Casa de Marmol is exceptional! You feel at home from the moment you walk into the door. Irma, Diego and their family have created a safe heaven for anyone visiting the region. For me there's only one option when going to Riobamba, with the best most comfy bed in Ecuador, amazing breakfast and the most caring of hosts. Thank you all for the amazing stay, I will be back!
