The Mercadillo on Friday morning (you have to visit it)

APARTAMENTO HECO har havudsigt og ligger i Peñíscola, 17 minutters gang fra Cala del Volante Strand og 31 km fra Castell de Xivert. The apartment was very comfortable and clean and the pool was wonderful with a little slide which our daughter loved! Lots of families stay so there are always little kids to play with which made her very happy. There's a small shallow kiddie pool and a larger pool too and the water is very clean. The grounds are well maintained with lots of flowers and plants. It's a 10 min drive from the castle in Peñiscola which is great if you want to get away from the crowds and throngs of tourists and stay somewhere peaceful. We got the bus into town (the stop was right by our apartment complex) at night for dinner in the centre (bus was 5,10€ for two adults and a child under 5) and a taxi back (12€). We never had a problem getting a taxi back at night. Radio Taxi works really well. Our apartment had a terrace which had a great view with the sea in the distance. It got the morning sun and became a great spot for having a coffee and reading a book before the family woke up. Everyone in the residential complex was very respectful and the communal barbecue filled up with families at lunchtime and dinnertime every day. A home from home! Vane was very helpful, with valuable info like where to park in Peñiscola (there is a massive free public carpark by North bea ch). We were very happy and glad not to be staying in the centre which is permanently busy and noisy.

Spotlessly clean apartment with stunning views and great amenities We had a wonderful stay at this apartment. It was immaculately clean, spacious, and very comfortable. The terrace was a real highlight, with beautiful views of the sea and castle, and very comfortable furniture — perfect for relaxing at any time of day. The Wi-Fi was fast and reliable, and having a dedicated workspace was a great bonus. The swimming pool was lovely and quiet — most of the time we had it entirely to ourselves. There were plenty of sunbeds and large parasols, making it easy to enjoy a lazy afternoon in the sun. The location is peaceful, but everything you need is within walking distance. The beach is about 15 minutes downhill, and the castle is around 20 minutes away. A large, well-stocked supermarket is just 10 minutes away and had everything we needed for a relaxing holiday. Just 5 minutes from the apartment is a great little spot called The Coffee Box — the staff are super friendly, and they serve affordable, delicious burgers and craft beers. A real bonus! Highly recommended — we’d definitely stay here again!

Lots of natural light, a bit of a view. Full size refrigerator and modern kitchen. The look of a high end hotel room with a lot more amenities and space ! Met expectations and more.
