This was just wonderful, I’d have stayed longer had it been available. Such a cutely furnished tiny house. The lovely hosts are always trying to improve these already excellent cabins by adding more thoughtful details. I loved the skylight above the bed. Best light for reading. Drift off to sleep with the stars twinkling above you. Great Deeside walks just outside the front door. Perfect cosy place for two; I’d say fitting four in here might get a little cramped, especially if you’re going to leave 4 people’s luggage lying around randomly. Hot tub a nice feature. One commenter complained about not being able to use it in the rain, which, frankly, is weird. When you’re immersed in hot water, the rain can’t touch you. The hosts were extremely friendly, and, in my case, literally went that extra mile! Big thank you to Karl, Bess, and Stacey!

The reception by Martyn was very warm, friendly and welcoming, the room was beautiful and very comfortable, and Louise's cooking was truly exceptional. All in all this was just a very pleasant stay for which we are very grateful. Located in the heart of Cairngorms there is plenty to do as well (we went for hiking, but just as easily we could have visited Balmoral castle for instance, or we could just have relaxed in the beautiful countryside), and Ballater has plenty of good options for dinner. We found our hosts extremely helpful, and they went out of their way to make our stay as pleasant as they could. Louise's cooking is reason enough in itself to stay at this place, but truly the whole experience was just wonderful. Highly recommended!

I visited this property with my wife. The location and the surrounding area of this tiny house are very beautiful and the most important was cleanliness inside. It has a private bathroom and a small kitchenette. Picking up of the key was very smoothly and the lady who rent the property was really helpful throughout our stay.

The house was beautifully renovated and comfortable. Our hostess, Kira, was wonderful. There was always fresh fruit available and a lovely cozy living room with a fireplace. I would have liked to stay there for a longer time.

Beautiful setting, comfortable space with 2 bedrooms/baths and full kitchen & living. Could have stayed comfortably for several days. Owner very responsive. The attached bar was a fun place to meet the locals. Angus, the bartender, was very hospitable, & knowledgable about the flavor profiles of the wide variety of spirits available. We felt very welcome while the locals regaled us with stories of their families and the area’s history. Remember it’s a bar not a pub-they don’t serve food but they can recommend a couple of restaurants. The outdoor seating by the river was an added plus! Definitely worth a visit!

Such a beautiful historic home and continues to be a great place to stay. The owners are particularly generous with their time and attention to detail. With my visit being in Winter I was happy to see I had electrical blankets on the beds. Showers had an abundance of hot water and the home was decorated lovely for Christmas. Breakfast choices were varied and super coffee being served. Complimentary bottles of water and snack bars and chocolates also in abundance.
