This however was perfect with its own car park and the room keys and a welcome note left for my arrival. The room was prepared ready for my arrival, heating and lights on and curtains closed. The en-suite room was warm and comfortable with all the usual shower gel, shampoo, tea and coffee etc. The breakfast was perfect and the owners/staff very welcoming and friendly. I've definitely found my place for when work takes me to Orkney :-)

Owners very responsive, we had a question about oven.

Tranquil with lovely views, out of the way but on a small island still easy to get anywhere.

It had a really good combination of privacy in our room as well as comfortable common areas that made it feel like we were just staying with the family. Nicky was able to accommodate us for the guided tour (a later start time) and I'm so glad it worked out - the tour was one of my favorite parts of the overall trip to Scotland.

Absolutely marvelous place and i would highly recommend it to everyone spending a few days in Kirkwall. The rooms are luxurious and very well equiped. On top of that, the owners are very lovely and helpfull with any question you may have. Regarding the breakfast would I simply say- go there and try it!

Wonderful place to stay! An historic mill that has been beautifully renovated - cosy, comfortable and spacious. Special touches such as a basket of local treats and a range of fantastic books covering local topics. We really enjoyed our stay here!
