We had such warm and caring hosts during our stay! We were unwell, and they took such great care of us, which meant so much. Additionally, we arrived unexpectedly very early in the morning, and they welcomed us in without any hassle—something we really appreciated. The location is fantastic, and the rooms were beautiful and exceptionally clean. Thank you so much for everything!

Meyske and her mother are amazing hosts and the homestay is cozy and well decorated. It is designed to share some space and experiences with the other travelers. Meyske is an amazing guide to get to know Toraja and their traditions. She helps you make plans for the day to discover the area, but I would recommend a guided tour with her. We did 2 days and couldn't be more happy about our decision! Really informative, info well structured, unique experiences and a perfect way to get to know everything closely. Her english is great which also helps! The food Meyske and her mother prepare is the best! As vegetarians we have very few options eating out in Indonesia... They made different and delicious things so we decided to have dinner at the homestay every night!

This was one of the best places I’ve stayed in in my travels, hands down. It is basic, but proof that basic can also be excellent. Jacob & Yansen were fabulous hosts-cum-guides, the food choices were simple but tasty, & the whole atmosphere of the place, including my fellow-guests were wonderfully friendly. So glad I chose this over some place inRantepao proper where I would have felt in the middle of a city. Here we were in the real spirit of Tana Toraja, w Tongan’s a stone’s throw away.

Built in traditional Torajan style, Rura Raya Homestay is situated in Rantepao. The rooms here offers modern comforts and while maintaining the traditional decor. A beautiful homestay with an amazing host. The breakfast was great every morning and the dinners were amazing. The homestay is comfortable and the host is always willing to help, no matter your requests.

It’s an excellent place to stay with our young family. It was in the middle of the city which make it easy to travel around town.

Such a neat experience staying in a traditional Torajan home and Aldi and his family are amazing!! Best suited if you have your own wheels, but I got by just fine with my guided tours and rides from the host and/or my guide. Very kind, engaging and smiling hosts who are always willing to help with anything and everything - bus tickets, guide arrangements, food suggestions, pick-ups, etc. PS You must take Aldi’s advice on local food - he knows the yummiest spots!!

Without Daud's tips and help my stay in Rantepao wouldn't have been so perfect. The breakfast is very nice, the rooms spacious, clean and with a lot of light, the wifi good, drinking water available all day. Daud didn't pressure me for tours, and offered options and information and was always available. I really felt home at Riana's!
