Breakfast was good, we tried the banana pancakes and fried noodles. The real standout of our stay was Kaesa, who was amazingly friendly and helpful. This may be the best homestay host I've ever met, so enthusiastic and happy to help with anything. He gave lots of advice and recommendations, from good prices to pay for fruit to how to ask for vegetarian food and what to expect on the hiking route. Would absolutely recommend!

The restaurant was amazing and the hosts were so helpful and kind. We also did the jungle trek with them and loved it. Our guide was really knowledgeable and tailored our experience to what we wanted to do.

Property was clean and overlooked the river view. My stay was excellent, and I also booked the jungle trek with them. It was absolutely amazing, and it was their own business. So it was a small group. Ricky and Anto were great with taking care of us. You should really try this activity! It’s very very worth it, and rest assured you are in good hands.

The owners are super nice and welcoming. Also very accommodating, I arrived very late at night from the airport and they came to pick me up from my taxi. Rooms are clean and comfortable with AC and private bathrooms. Breakfast was also very yummy! The location is quite far from central Medan but nice because it is quiet and works perfectly for a one- night stop in Medan before moving to other places.

The place is a little bit outside the town and for me this is a good thing because it is very quiet and peaceful (they have a restaurant and provide water and free refill).

Mr Arif does his best, he is involved in his job, does everything possible to his guests, thanks him a lot! Moreover i had beautiful one-day trekking with him and we were so lucky! We saw 7-9 orangutans, one gibbon, monkeys tomas, kyffia (snake). Kupu-kupu worth staying in it and pass several days in a little green paradise

I stayed for 3 weeks at Batu Kapal and would recommend to others that they not just stay for a day before and/or after a jungle trek but enjoy this peaceful and beautiful location for multiple days. The primates (several monkey species and orangutans), butterflies, lizards and birds around the property provide frequent interest. When their isn't great wildlife in your view, the beautiful scenery will make you happy to be there.

The hosts Mery and Abdy are such nice people. I did the volcano hike with Abdy and I think you will not find a better guide than him (and Blacky😉) in Berastagi. I booked my onward transporation through them and it worked perfectly.
