It was clean, and the bathroom was spacious! So cool how Hars is building everything himself on his property. The view of the mountains is just… wow! I stayed for two nights, but I easily could’ve stayed longer. Breakfast was also delicious, with fresh fruit from the garden! The fact that there’s no air conditioning might take some getting used to, but I slept really well — the breeze flows nicely through the room thanks to the way it’s built. I’m very curious to see how things will look in a few years with all the plans Hars still has. It’s hard to imagine this place becoming anything but a hidden gem!

The place is really nice! We had a very nice stay, and also extended for another night. The staff is very polite and helpful. The bed is so comfortable that I never wanted to leave😭

The homestay is very nice and comfortable, big rooms with ac and big shared area with beautiful view. Nayla and the other girls working are lovely. Nayla helped us so much, gave us lots of useful information to move around Sumba. We were gonna stay for one night and we ended yo staying 4. Also food is very good, definitely recommend it!

O Pondok Wisata Pantai Cemara está localizado ao longo da praia privada de Purukambera e dispõe de estacionamento gratuito e de quartos com vistas para o oceano. The staff at Cemara were incredible. They greeted us with juice and farewelled us with bracelets. They were helpful with any questions, and provided us with a scooter, snorkel and yoga mat upon request. The staff were incredibly attentive and kind - they went above and beyond. The location is fantastic, right on the beach and great swimming at high tide. Snorkelling was only 50m out from the shore and there is a cool waterfall was about 45 minutes (by scooter) down the road. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The restaurant was well priced and we had a decent breakfast. There was always complimentary bottled water! Overall, we had a lovely, relaxing stay at Cemara.
