Everything was clean, the hosts Pat & Jin were incredibly welcoming, there were complimentary milk, eggs, bread and some homemade biscuits on arrival. The accommodation was really cozy and comfortable.

The beautiful 'pods', the wonderful gardens, the outstanding facilities (kitchen, lounge, reading room, washrooms etc), the terrific breakfast (mostly home-produced food) and the warmth of Mary's welcome. The location is so peaceful - deep quiet! Superb.

We stayed for 1 night. The cabin is located in a peaceful countryside. There are artificial lakes for fishing. The cabin is completely made of wood and makes it a special feeling. We got to see a fox in front of the cabin in the morning, it was something new and interesting for us.

Just 500 metres North of Carlow in a quiet mature area (a 10-minute stroll), Avlon House Bed and Breakfast is an ideal base for touring the South-East of Ireland. I didn't partake in the breakfast. Everything is was FANTASTIC! And a special thank you to Tom for bringing my glasses to the train station.

Recommendations from them were great and perfect for us. Rebecca even went out if her way to take us to the next town dir our evening out. The cottage was beautiful! Perfect spot for 4 of us to have our own space and common spaces to get together. The gardens were beautiful and the courtyard area was wonderful for a late afternoon drink or read a book. Babs, the cat, was a sweetie! Listening to the sheep was relaxing. I can't say enough good about the place and the owners. It was the BEST place we stayed on our 30 day trip to Ireland.
