The whole B&B was immaculate and a home away from home. On our return to the room from a wedding near by (on a cold February night) Margaret had added a much appreciated touch, an electric blanket being turned on. A delicious continental breakfast awaited us the next morning with a vast array of fresh fruit, breads and cereals.

Doris and Kevin were the perfect hosts, beautiful home and the breakfast was fabulous, great nights sleep. Rooms bigger than you would expect and to be woken by birdsong was an added extra. The local pubs were about a mile or so down the road with a harbour if you fancy a walk.Athlone town only 10 minutes away if you fancy a more lively night out taxis available. All in all a great find and most definitely would recommend and hope to revisit in the near future.

Great location near Lough Key and only a short drive from Boyle town.. The owner was very helpful and accommodating.

Lots of choices of fruit, cereals, eggs ( scrambled, fried, over easy), ham/bacon and sausage. Also liked that there was yogurt. Could also have a full Irish breakfast. It was all great. Helen is a great host and provided great suggestions about where to eat and places to visit. And the B&B is next to the National Park. We’d go back again without hesitation. Plenty of parking and our room was spacious and very comfortable.

Everything was very clean and cozy ,we felt at home from the first moment. We had a wonderful time, especially enjoying the BBQ on the veranda and the stunning view of the lake, which is also very close by. We will definitely come back more than once, as this is such a welcoming place that you simply don’t want to leave. Thank you, Padraig, for the warm hospitality!

Micheal the owner checked on us now and then as we were 5 females aged 16-65 on our own we really appreciated that !Lovely kind man! It was large, clean and really well equiped. We were met by Hazel , she was so sweet and had the cottage heated and welcoming, even a nice welcome cake.
