Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts. The garden was beautiful. The food provided was delicious and mostly grown within the property. Whilst a little way out of the main town this was not an issue as transport was arranged and not expensive with pickup and return part of the deal.

We got to attend a local dusshera mela as well and the entire trip was a 10/10.

Staying at Calcutta Bungalow was one of the best highlights of our visit to Kolkata. We greatly appreciate the efforts that have been put in giving a second life to the historical building. The renovation work had been done beautifully. We enjoyed the food prepared by the kitchen and particularly loved the river prawn dishes, Chingri Moshla Polao MH and Herbed Chingri Malaikari. We also enjoyed the walking tour organised by the hotel that took us to a unique multi-cultural neighbourhood in the city.

Superb accomodation in a prime location with restaurants, bars and shopping close by. Hostess was not at the apartment being away but kept in contact daily. We were looked after by her full-time assistant who prepared our breakfasts and catered for our every need. Thoroughly recommend this homestay.

Featuring free Wi-Fi throughout the property, CENTRAL is conveniently located just 1.8 km from the famous Victoria Memorial. The layout is both interesting and effective. It is half a floor of a large apartment block divided into 6 rooms. My room was brilliant with quality inclusions and serious soundproofing. Apart from that, I received some excellent help when I needed it, far beyond the call of duty. I will definitely try and book the B&B when I am in Kolkata next.

It's possible to find all the facilities just at few minutes walking from the house. The house is fully equipped if you want to arrange some food by your self.The owner is very kind and helpfull. Good quality at the right price... highly recommended.
