Check in instructions were clear. The host was very responsive whenever we reached out for any assistance. Although we did not check in early but they accommodated our request when we raised one. Kirkjufell's view from one of the rooms is just out of this world! Totally recommended. Thank you for the wonderful stay.

We had an amazing time at the Ocean Lair. The place is very comfortable cozy, clean, and spacious. It even has a separate tv room equipped with a massage chair! Its location is very well situated, close to the main road and nearby facilities and tourist attractions especially near the Kirkjufell. The owner is super kind. I’d forgot my purse at the place and left for Reykjavik. I didn’t realize that I had left it there until I’ve reached the town and the owner massaged me. I was so upset and was tired from the driving. As it was my last leg of the two weeks road trip and I was about to catch the plane home the next morning so didn’t want to go back to get it. Even though I had my credit cards and some cash in my purse I was about to let them go and told the owner to please destroy the cards for me. The owner instead told me to hold on and give her time to ask around if anyone she knows is traveling to Reykjavik. I was so glad when she messaged me that her sister is visiting her daughter and would be happy to bring my purse with her and meet at an N1 gas station. I was super lucky that the owner was so nice and I felt very appreciative. It was very kind gesture and I don’t know if I’ve left my purse at some other places, I would get it back. So I would highly recommend this place. My time in Iceland was amazing and the trip ended perfectly with this place the it’s wonderful owner.

Very nice accommodation, immersed in an atmosphere of comfort. I especially liked the soft and warm bed, the collection of CDs with a player and a lot of interesting and colorful books. The apartment has everything you need for a comfortable staying. Highly recommend and hope to come back again

The interior decoration is just spectacular -but not only , the hotel has a very authentic northern vibe - the views , the light , the design and location by the sea made our stay a truly unique experience - Hotel Karolina was my favorite accommodation during our 10 days trip in Iceland.

Our time there was great – perfect tranquility, stunning surroundings and a very special atmosphere in this renovated farm! One important thing to keep in mind: the access road is a gravel road, so plan accordingly the car rental! 😉
