Birkifell is 100% pure charm and comfort. The cabin is small but comfortable and tastefully decorated. The kitchen was pretty much perfect. Coffee machine with coffee, stovetop, oven and microwave, fridge/freezer, cutlery, crockery and cookware. The beds are so comfortable and warm. I slept amazingly well. And now what is truly wow. Hot tub on the verandah with clear, unobstructed views of the sky which was crystal clear. The hot tub was hot, comfortable and clean. The only sound to be heard was me. I have never experienced such quiet and stillness before. It was invigorating. I was sad to have to leave Birkifell but when I come back to Iceland, Birkifell will be my must stay again. I love everything about Birkifell.

Clean, functionable and well thought out layout. Owner is very responsive. We enjoyed the use of the terrace and the large windows to watch sunset and spot the northern lights from. Would definitely stay here again.

The bed and pillows were comfortable - truly important on a long trip. Room and shower were warm enough. It was in a perfect location - close to many restaurants. The pantry was well-equipped with free-flow cereal! The full-height windows were great for us to admire the scenery when it started snowing.
