This was one of the most beautiful stays while travelling Iceland. It is set pretty much in the middle of nature and the house was quite big for two people and nicely furnished. The hot tub with naturally hot water was also just an incredible add-on. Would absolutely go there again and also for longer.

There's a bench outside, which should be good during summer (we came in winter, so it's too cold). There's a BBQ grill, but it looks unused. Inside it, there's a good 4-people sized living room, a 1-person sized kitchen, a decently sized bathroom, a folded dinner table for two (or four if it's unfolded) and a queen-sized bed. The heater grill is effective enough to heat the cabin, and I specifically liked the dinner table placement which is next to a large window with the kitchen counter behind it, where I can sit with my laptop and watching TV in the living room. Parking is also very easy, which is right in front of the cabin.

Despite its central location, the apartment is in a tranquil setting adjacent to a park. The building is historical, but the interior has been modernly renovated. However, it still preserves its old charm with thoughtful touches like displaying old carpentry tools behind glass and printing historical photos taken outside the building on the walls. One of these photos was so naturally integrated that we didn’t even realize there was a door behind it leading to the bathroom! The kitchen was extremely user-friendly and well-equipped. It had not only pots, pans, and cooking utensils, but also an abundance of coffee, tea, spices, and condiments—far more than we usually have at home, which we found incredibly convenient. There were also reasonably priced wine and beer available, and complimentary soda, including cola and orange juice. We only met the owner at checkout, but he was very kind and gave us excellent advice on a driving route. Thanks to his suggestion, we were able to see seals, which we would have missed otherwise. Although we stayed for only two nights this time, we would love to come back and stay longer on our next visit to Ísafjörður, especially to see the puffins again. Wonderful house in amazing place! It has everything you need and more. We felt like at home. The host is ready to help with any problem or advise. She told us about seasl watching point nearby, only 10 min. walk from the house. It was amazing! The house located in the beautiful small bay, no other houses nearby, only you and a wild nature. It is the perfect place for a small retreat. We spend here only one night, but I wish we'll stay more.
