Special mention also to the breakfast, the best I had during my trip in Jordan, local food homemade by the people of the village, very well.cooked by the woman at the hotel, it was just delicious.... It is well worth staying at this hotel, different from others in Jordan, a great experience!

We had the privilege the stay in this lovely guest house - perfectly located in a tranquil area, within walking distance from the Gadara sight. It is a well-equiped, nicely decorated, charming small house with a beautiful garden overlooking the village and the hills around. The breakfast was also delicious. But no experience in Umm Qais is complete without Ahmad's highly professional guidance - he is well-known to be the best guide in the area, and there is a reason for his reputation. In a very reasonable arrangement, we have not only managed to learn the formal history of the area but also gained insights from someone who actually used to live in the site and later also participated in the preservation efforts. Our stay and the short morning tour with Ahmad in the site was truly a highlight of our entire trip in Jordan.

I wish now we had booked another night as there is so much to do in the area. I would stay there again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend.
