Miyajima Guesthouse Mikuniya is a traditional Japanese-style guesthouse located on Miyajima (Itsukushima). It has a beautiful Japanese garden and a large living room, creating a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. Our friendly mascot cat will welcome you! Highlight of my trip, I wish we stayed 2 nights not just one. Great hospitality and wonderful facilities. Personally the futon was very comfortable since I prefer harder matress. A 15 minute walk from the ferry terminal, very close to the main attractions.

Only a 5-minute drive from Miyajima Ferry Port with its free shuttle, beautiful ocean views can be enjoyed from Miyajima Seaside Hotel. The hotel features a public bath, a karaoke room and free WiFi at the lobby. The omotenashi - the spirit of Japanese hospitality - was just incredible. Thank you to absolutely every member of the staff who made our stay so enjoyable. Person who picked us up in a shuttle, people at the front desk, people who served dinner and breakfast. Simply wonderful. The meals were generous and delicious. Hotel itself is nostalgic retro style. View is beautiful. Public baths are clean and relaxing.

The hotel offers public and private hot baths and a free shuttle to/from Miyajima Ferry Terminal. Free Wi-Fi is provided at the lobby. Great place, staff was friendly and always willing to help.

The last 1 minute is uphill but not onerous at all. Staff were very welcoming and attentive. They also spoke English. Amazing indoor and outdoor onsen which we made full use of. Big comfortable room with kettle and TV (YouTube app available). Enjoyed the Japanese meal and breakfast (food plentiful, make sure you arrive extremely hungry). Their slogan is “Your home in Miyajima” and it’s so true. So comfortable and they provide everything including yukatas. You could literally just turn up with a change of underwear and everything else is pretty much available (toothbrush, hairbrush, toner & moisturiser in the onsen bathroom).

Situated within 30 km of Saikokuji Temple and 31 km of Senkoji Temple, Bed&Cafe Onzo オンゾー features rooms with air conditioning and a shared bathroom in Onomichi. With free private parking, the property is 24 km from Oogamiyama Omoto Shrine and 27 km from Saikon-ji Temple. Shinsho-ji Temple is 38 km away and Miroku no Sato is 39 km from the guest house. Owner was nice, room as advertised, comfortable bed, quiet neighbourhood, location convenient for Shimanami Kaido cyclists.

With quiet street views, this accommodation offers a balcony. The great Torii is 600 metres away and Itsukushima Shrine Treasure Hall is 800 metres from the guest house. The host was exceptionally nice to us. The breakfast was very good, and the complimentary local beers were a really nice touch. Having the entire space to ourselves was good too.

The apartment is pleasant, bright, and modernly furnished. The beds were extremely comfortable. The neighborhood is quiet, with plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. There’s a tram close by that takes you to the train station in just a few minutes. Check-in and check-out were very easy. Communication with the host was excellent—they responded immediately whenever we had a question. Great value for money.
