Miyajima Guesthouse Mikuniya is a traditional Japanese-style guesthouse located on Miyajima (Itsukushima). Basic food was also provided due to the location which is an exceptional service.

Only a 5-minute drive from Miyajima Ferry Port with its free shuttle, beautiful ocean views can be enjoyed from Miyajima Seaside Hotel. The hotel features a public bath, a karaoke room and free WiFi at the lobby. The omotenashi - the spirit of Japanese hospitality - was just incredible. Thank you to absolutely every member of the staff who made our stay so enjoyable. Person who picked us up in a shuttle, people at the front desk, people who served dinner and breakfast. Simply wonderful. The meals were generous and delicious. Hotel itself is nostalgic retro style. View is beautiful. Public baths are clean and relaxing.

The hotel offers public and private hot baths and a free shuttle to/from Miyajima Ferry Terminal. Free Wi-Fi is provided at the lobby. I booked this hotel for my parents. When I asked questions by email, their staff reply very quick and kind. My parents were really happy about all the service they got, enjoyed the bath, dinner and breakfast. I booked ocean view room for them, they said the view was amazing from the room, and also they could even enjoy the night view from the dinner place. Seemed like all the staff there is very kind and friendly, they felt very warm inside and they had an amazing stay.

If you want to explore the island more after the check-out you could store your luggage and take a shuttle later that day. Clean and neat. Welcoming staff, most of them have good English. Nice colourful yukatas to select from and a hanten. Tasty traditional breakfast with an instruction on how to eat it. Comfortable bed in a classic room.

With free private parking, the property is 24 km from Oogamiyama Omoto Shrine and 27 km from Saikon-ji Temple. Shinsho-ji Temple is 38 km away and Miroku no Sato is 39 km from the guest house. We we’re welcomed by the friendly owner and his beautiful cat. He provided lots of information on nearby restaurants, shops, and temples (just around the corner). Everything was impeccably clean. Lots of toiletries were provided, so you do not need to bring your own. It was the perfect peaceful stay halfway the Shimanami Kaido. Would love to return here some day.

With quiet street views, this accommodation offers a balcony. The great Torii is 600 metres away and Itsukushima Shrine Treasure Hall is 800 metres from the guest house. The host was exceptionally nice to us. The breakfast was very good, and the complimentary local beers were a really nice touch. Having the entire space to ourselves was good too.

The apartment is pleasant, bright, and modernly furnished. The beds were extremely comfortable. The neighborhood is quiet, with plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. There’s a tram close by that takes you to the train station in just a few minutes. Check-in and check-out were very easy. Communication with the host was excellent—they responded immediately whenever we had a question. Great value for money.
