It truly was a short walk to major sites. The tourist bus service in Kanazawa from train station dropped off us off close to the apartment. We liked using the washing machine and the quick drying room. Also very large shower/bath room and nice little kitchen with lots of dishes. The tatami mat area with futons and small table was a hit with the grandkids. (who knew they had to be quiet due to it being a quiet home) We felt that after being greeted by a "hostess" at the main door at the agreed upon time, that we were in good hands in case we needed to contact them for anything.... which we did not...

The location for me worked because it was a twenty minute ride on the local train into Kanazawa and I enjoy riding the trains in Japan. I don't know if I would want to stay right in Kanazawa, personally I liked finding out a little about Mikawa as well.The staff was wonderful. Helpful and kind. I had a great time here and would definitely come again.

I was a little late finding lodging for our trip, so we regrettably only stayed for 1 night as this place was booked for the rest of our time in Kanazawa - but WOW. Truly amazing place, and Hitty was so incredibly kind to us. He shared the house’s history with us & even brought us up into another part of the house to share some samurai era relics with us. We were personally met by Hitty & given sweets when we arrived, so make sure you give him an accurate time of arrival - we ran late on a tour but he was so gracious and kind about it. He made us a dinner reservation at a nearby restaurant and we had an amazing meal. 10/10, highlight of our trip so far & we will be back!!
