The room I stayed in was a dormitory, the futon mattress was comfortable. I enjoyed the location as well. Even though it's a 30 min walk to the station, it's a really historical area and you will enjoy walking around. I highly recommend it!.

The best stay we had in Japan - the hosts are the nicest, really making this stay unforgettable. Breakfast was delicious. Absolutely wonderful! It was our first time at a ryokan and it exceeded our expectations by a wide margin. The tatami room was fantastic, the atmosphere making you never want to leave. The outdoors onsen was soo relaxing, and open 24/7 so there was no problem having your evening- midnight and early morning bath! We did not have the dinner experience, but the breakfast was absolutely spectacular. Local, seasonal cuisine that tasted divine, set up in a traditional Japanese room. Staff was very helpful, even though they spoke rather limited English, and a shuttle bus picked us up and left us at the bus stop. If you're around Morioka, definitely give this place a visit!

The house was charming - its age in parts, It is a real house, that has been lived in and loved.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Forest Cottage Oshu. It was the perfect winter getaway - cozy and wholesome! There was snow everywhere and it felt so magical! The room was spacious and comfortable, and the kitchen was fully equipped. We enjoyed the nearby onsen, which is free if you stay at one of the cottages. When we came back from the onsen in the evening, the staff started a bonfire outside that just enhanced the magical atmosphere. We found a couple of sweet potatoes in a plastic bag hung at our door handle and fully enjoyed roasting them in the bonfire. Such an amazing stay!

The holiday flat is quite close to the Sakura spot of Tenshochi Park and the Michinoku folk museum. The flat is located at the riverside with a lovely view and is decorated prettily. The owner is nice. She showed us some beautiful places when we arrived and drove us to the station when we had to leave.

My wife & I stayed at Fulsato for one night on a Tohoku ski trip driving from Geto Kogen to Tazawako. We’ve stayed at many Ryokan on our trips to Japan and this was likely the best one. From the moment we arrived the staff was so kind and helpful. We got a room overlooking the river with our own private bath in the balcony. The other public baths were nice esp the outdoor one. The room was well thought out and immaculately clean. The best part was the food! Both the dinner and breakfast were kaiseki style and the presentation and flavors were amazing. The price was higher than we usually pay but it felt like a total value.
