Only some rooms include a balcony, tatami floors, and free toiletries. We have the space, hostel rooms were done really well, Onsen's were wonderful, dining and living area were bring and welcoming and had everything you needed and more.

There are hiking trails nearby and would love to visit again and explore more of the area around the guesthouse.

Both dinner and breakfast rival some of the best restaurants I've been to and then it included a free room and Onsen. Absurdly cheap for what's included.

Just 500 metres from Miyanoshita Station, it offers indoor and outdoor pools, a spa and a restaurant in a converted Imperial Villa called Kikka-so Inn. Rooms feature bathtubs with natural hot-spring water. Our stay at Fujiya was exceptional. The hotel has a grand, old world charm to it in a Japanese style. There were amazing details to see in the building itself and the grounds. Service was amazing by the staff who all spoke good English. Food was wonderful and served in a very classy full service style with silverware. The gardens and koi pond were beautiful in the autumn. The onsen spa also was great after a long day's sightseeing. It was a truly memorable experience to stay here and a highlight of our trip.
