The staff was AMAZING they were super kind and attentive, excellent customer service! They also helped us shipping our bags to the next hotel. It's close to the train station (less than 10 min walk) and to 2 different subway stations(both max 20 min walk). So easy to move to Shinjuku, Shibuya, Asakusa and everywhere else. We highly recommend it!

Only some rooms include a balcony, tatami floors, and free toiletries. Facilities were clean and well maintained. Rarely anybody is in the onsen when you want to go so you get the whole place to yourself. It's pretty close to bus stops so if you want to travel to the Hakone cable car it's doable (same with open air museum).

It was really a great experience to stay in traditional Japanese guest house. My fiancee was also lucky to be able to try on a traditional wedding dress as the lady got known we were on our pre-honeymoon. Althogh I was a bit sceptical about the location, my worries went away as there like 3 metro lines nearby and a lot of food options of course. Just take into account that bathrooms are shared in such guest house and you really sleep on tatami/futon. Go for it. We also enjoyed a traditional Japanese kaiseki breakfast which myself enjoyed a lot.

We got a nice and clean big room with balcony and a view over the lake. The staff are very helpful and nice. We really enjoyed the big onsen. Even if it’s a big hotel it never felt that it was crowded in the onsen.
