Fantastic place, hosts are so wonderful, we got caught by massive storm while being at Furuzamami and had to leave bikes from Yenn's Marina there due to heavy conditions, as were offered a ride by car by some locals, hosts pick the bikes later by themselves. Tastefull breakfast and just two houses away from very good restaurant, rooms are very clean and spacious. Thank you for your hospitality.

This was our most favorite stay of our whole Japan trip. The main reason for this was that it's a homestay. Our host Takago was sooo great, super super friendly, funny, cool & an amazing cook. Plus we got to meet many other nice travellers there and it was always a nice place to be. The food she cooked for us was amazing and super authentic. The island is small and you can walk almost everywhere. The island itself looks like it's a bit deserted. The houses aren't pretty and there isn't much, so don't be repelled by this. We were a bit suspicious at the start but in the end it was our very favorite thing!

Although the weather was quite rainy, the space was nice for hanging out, making food (bbq was a nice touch) and enjoying the rental. The yard is quite nice with yoga platform, swing, and shaded porch. We rented a vehicle from the folks next door and that experience was great. The rental is convenient to small market and convenience store, and easily accessible from the ferry.

The Kerama Backpackers is really clean , kitchen, common room and bathrooms. The owner is a really nice person and as well his relatives, they provide a shuttle service to take you to the beautiful beaches of the island, where you can do many activities, it only takes less than 10 mins . Located on the beautiful Zamami Island, Guesthouse Iyonchi is a 5-minute walk from Zamami Port. A beach can be reached within a 15-minute walk. Free WiFi is provided throughout the property. Great location and friendly staff! Gave us recommendations on where’s best to snorkel and we saw turtles straight away. Would definitely stay again next time.

We stayed at Hanamuro Inn for two nights and absolutely loved it. The inn is simple, clean, and full of charm. Just like the island itself. The owner is warm and welcoming, and the whole place had a laid-back, friendly vibe that made us feel right at home. Aka Island is small, quiet, and stunningly beautiful. You’re surrounded by turquoise water, white sand beaches, and a peaceful atmosphere that’s hard to find elsewhere. Around the inn, there are a few small restaurants and two little supermarkets. It is just enough to enjoy good local food without any stress. If you’re looking to unwind, swim, snorkel, or just take in the natural beauty, Hanamuro Inn is a perfect place to stay. We would absolutely come back. A lovely spot on a lovely little island.
