We wish we spoke better Japanese so we could have talked more. They were such interesting people.

A cozy cottage was waiting for us: with heating on, beautifully furnished to the smallest details, very clean, very well equipped, comfortable. Just perfect. Due to an accident with a broken car window, we had a pleasure to meet the host. He helped us complete the formalities, secured the car for the rest of our journey and made sure that the remnants of glass wouldn’t have hurt anyone or anything. The onsens at the property were incredible. Reserving the individual onsens was easy. The gardens were so charming and covered in moss. Each onsen had its own unique feeling. I wish I could have stayed there longer.
