Very comfy home, there's a lot of temples in Otsu, so it was nice to be able to visit them, however things do close early because it's a smaller town. The breakfast and staff were amazing :)

Biwako Hanakaido features outdoor and indoor hot-spring baths, 3 dining options and rooms with a balcony and Lake Biwako views. It also has a garden and a sauna, while the lobby offers free WiFi. This is our first time in Japan and we landed straight for 4 nights in this great hotel. You get the full japanese experience when you land including traditional Japanese breakfasts and dinners, the dinners are amazing so take the half board. The rooms are big, beautiful and facilitated and the staff is extremely welcoming and helpful. It is located about 15 minutes by train outside of Kyoto but if you like to leave the crowds behind at night it's worth the commute.

Biwako Ryokusuitei offers Japanese-style/Western rooms with Lake Biwako views, a flat-screen TV and free Wi-Fi. The on balcony onsen was amazing. As a couple with tattoos we couldn't use the main baths but this was perfect. Used it in the evening after dinner and then again in the morning watching the sun come up. The room was large and comfortable. The food was excellent.

It was a great experience, the room was nice and clean, the meals were great, the staff were very friendly and professional. The first hour in the hotel and I'm already thinking of coming back on my next trip to japan.

I had a very relaxing and quiet time in an authentic Japanese house in the countryside. After returning from Biwaichi Cycling, we took a nap on the tatami mats and enjoyed BBQ in the garden for dinner. At night it was a pleasure to see fireflies in the brook just nearby. It looks like it can accommodate a few more people. I will definitely recommend this place to my friends.
