Biwako Ryokusuitei offers Japanese-style/Western rooms with Lake Biwako views, a flat-screen TV and free Wi-Fi. It is a wonderful and relaxing environment and allows you to enjoy the best onsen experience. The hotel staff organised the shuttle bus for us even though it passed 6pm to ensure we made it to our dinner reservation. The food provided was 10/10, possibly one of the best meals we had in Japan ! And I forgot an item when I left the hotel, the staff just mailed it to my next hotel within the next day. Will definitely come back!

Blue Roof Hiei was a wonderful stay in a comfortable well maintained home. The host had excellent communication and provided many useful travel tips including parking in Kyoto. We loved the local sites including Hieizan temple and hiking trails. The house was well equipped with a nice little back yard (our kids loved to play there) and the kotatsu (table with heater underneath) was a great hangout space for watching TV or working. Overall it was a cozy and quiet refuge from the hustle of Kyoto. Our family will definitely be returning here on our next visit to Kansai!

It is a big house very nice equipped, there is a big kitchen with all you need. There are nice flowers and the linen of the beds is so soft. I felt like at home. And I enjoyed the bath. I recommand very much to stay in this wonderful house with this wonderful family. I would really like to come back one day.
