We stayed for 3 nights and it was an oasis to come back to after a tiring day of being a tourist. My wife didn't find the futon beds comfortable (too thin) but I had no complaints. The heating worked well on cold mornings. The layout of the WC, separate from the wash basin/laundry area, and shower/bath was a bit weird but no problem at all.

Kunisaki peninsula has so many beautiful pilgrimage trails, I would recommend this place for anyone who is interested to explore Kunisaki peninsula. Also only 30min by car to the famous Beppu area. Will definitely come back!
