By far the best hotel experience we had in our 1 month long trip to Japan. Hotel was easy to find with free parking and an excellent location with amazing service. Could have stayed here for a whole week with the castle views!

Owner was very caring and filled the fridge with delicious local food, including the legendary Okayama Pione grape. Will come again next time we need to stay at Okayama!

What a fantastic house and in the most wonderful location. Everything had been thought of. The only tiniest criticism was that the breakfast they kindly provided was not really edible. The fruit was perfect but the croissant were horrible. It would be better to provide fresh pastries or none at all. But this is a minor thing. The overall experience was fantastic. And you can get a very good cheap breakfast in the City Art Gallery.

Located in the Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter, Ryori Ryokan Tsurugata offers Japanese-style accommodations in a historical building from the Edo period. This was absolutely fabulous! The highlight of our trip and so off the beaten trail. The ryokan is stunning and right in the historic district on the canal. The 11 course dinner served in our room was delicious and such a special experience of Japanese foods. The breakfast was also delicious and traditional and served in a peaceful breakfast room. We loved the experience of the onsen, having dinner, and then taking a stroll by the canal in our yukatans. I would highly recommend this to anyone visiting Japan.

Very spacious, stylish, clean, and comfortable! It was a great place to stay with friends. There was a game room with a lot of board games for us to enjoy as well. Would definitely stay here again!
