The Hotel was clean and a nice big size. Private spring bath was great! There was a large window in the lounge room morning sun shine straight through. Owner of this hotel was very kind and helpful. I am very happy to find this Hotel.

Located in a 100 year-old Registered Tangible Cultural Property, Ryokan Hostel K's House is located in Shizuoka, a 7-minute walk from JR Ito Train Station. The hostel offers hot-spring baths, free Wi-Fi and 3 lounges. Love our private room with private toilet which is a great convenience. The room is very big but Cosy, overlooking the river. Lots of areas to chill out in the hostel as well. Bonus was the private onsen!

We were so well looked after by our room attendants. We told them we wanted to leave early the next morning and they came to set up breakfast early at 7.30 on the dot (normal breakfast time is 8am). You really get the feel of Japanese hospitality. Our room attendant couldn’t speak English well but he explained the whole dinner and breakfast to us using google translate. Everything was delicious using regional specialties. The outdoor bath in the room was amazing. This was a really special part of our trip. I recommend arriving at the 3pm check-in time so you can bathe as many times as possible! The dinner experience was really cool. It was a full set up from 6-8pm in the room and they came to set up our futon beds after.

Set less than 1 km from Shuzen-ji Temple, Oni no Sumika offers 5-star accommodation in Izu and features a garden. Private parking is available on site at this recently renovated property. Guests can enjoy garden views. Best onsen experience of a life time! We travel quite a bit and this exceeded all expectations. Ask for Yamadasan and/or Kibesan. Rooms are spacious, amenities over and above and the Kaiseki is from local specialities and if I could give this a higher rating I would! Food, Service, Staff, cleanliness all an A+

Atami Sekaie is set in Atami, 2.5 km from Atami Sun Beach, 25 km from Hakone-Yumoto Station, as well as 36 km from Shuzen-ji Temple. There is an on-site restaurant, plus free private parking and free WiFi are available. The accommodation offers a 24-hour front desk. Full disclosure - this place is much fancier than the places we typically stay. It's expensive - but it was worth every yen. The facilities are luxurious. The food is an absolute marvel - creative, beautifully presented, and delicious. The private onsen on our balcony overlooking the ocean is the perfect way to relax. And the staff were all so incredibly kind to us and our children (especially Mayu). Our few days here were amongst the very best we had in Japan. Highly recommend this place for a relaxing, memorable splurge.

This place is a luxury, you are treated exceptionally well, the staff is extremely helpful and kind and so very welcoming. The amenities and location are just amazing, you can walk along the beach as it's right across the street, There are only a few rooms so it is very peaceful, the onsens are amazing, the staff made us wonderful ice coffee to relax with outside as well. I wish I could have stayed longer.

The design and atmosphere of the lobby made it a warm and comfortable place to relax, with the added bonus of free tea/coffee and drinks. The hotel is located about 2km from seafront and close enough to some amazing Mt Fuji views. Free bicycles available but to travel beyond Heta I would suggest a car from safety perspective.

The property is located 26 km from Hakone-Yumoto Station, 33 km from Shuzen-ji Temple and 48 km from Mount Daruma. Lake Ashi is 28 km away and Hakone Open-Air Museum is 34 km from the ryokan. It was lovely to stay in this place. It is very central and also super close to the beach. The room was very spacious and clean! The owner is so nice! She really welcome us and we were able to exchange basic messages with her between English and basic Japanese with Google translator help. I would like to recommend this place, especially for foreigns who want to expirience a local atmosphere :)
