Structure is new, rooms are big and very clean. It is close to the beach and swimming pool was great after a day outside. We used the personal chef and I can assure you top service. I would surely recommend it.

We booked a week at the Rafiki Jua in Watamu, precisely the Rafiki Jua is located inside the Rafiki Tamu, a brand new residence consisting of several apartments (The structure looks like in the photos). Rafiki Tamu is a modern and new structure located exactly halfway between Watamu center and the beautiful beach of Sardinia 2. Our apartment was on the ground floor, overlooking the pool, consisting of dining room with kitchen, two bedrooms and two bathrooms. All nicely decorated with a fantastic African style. Inside the structure the entire staff is super helpful, consisting of receptionists, security, cleaning and laundry service (included in the price), masseuses at a very competitive price, chef (available to prepare breakfasts, lunches and dinners). For those who do not want to experience a village I highly recommend Rafiki.

The apartment has a great view of the city with a beautiful sunset from the veranda. The hosts are always helpful and take care of things immediately. The apartment is well equipped with everything you need for a successful stay. I can't wait to come back.

There is a great Swahili restaurant about 10 minutes away that serves delicious food and also has delivery options.
